A tourist Circuit is defined as a route on which at least three major tourist destinations are located such that none of these are in the same town, village or city. At the same time they are not separated by a large distance such that a tourist would not like to cover them in a sequence. It should have well defined entry and exist points. A tourist who enters at the entry point should get motivated to visit all the places identified on the circuit. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization( UNESCO) declared Warangal as the World Heritage City. It's a rare and prestigious honour to the city. It is a known thing that the city is of the historical importance through its 1000 pillar temple, Ramappa Gudi etc. Being a world heritage city, the city will get crores of rupees for the development of tourism in this area. Having sworn in as a tourism minister, chiranjeevi released Rs.25 lakhs for the city for the conduct of Kakathiya festival. Thereafter, chiranjeevi has reportedly tried to get the world heritage status to the city, and finally his attempts went on fruitful. "This is one of the best achievements of chiranjeevi under his regime", say the political analysts. Warangal people thanked Chiranjeevi After taking charge of Union minister of state for tourism K Chiranjeevi signed for releasing funds to Kakatiya celebrations about 25 lakhs and now Warangal got world recognition in his regime. UNESCO declared Warangal as a World Heritage city. Buddhist train to frequent Odisha BHUBANESWAR: The high-profile Buddhist train that came for the first time to Odisha last month carrying foreign tourists will soon chug into the state at least three to four times a year. The Union tourism minister K Chiranjeevi on Wednesday gave the green signal when his state counterpart Maheswar Mohanty called on him in New Delhi and discussed the need for running the train regularly with a view to showcasing the region's rich Buddhist treasure. Mohanty suggested Chiranjeevi to extend the train up to Vizag inAndhra Pradesh via Odisha. "If the train could be extended up to Vizag, availability of tourists would not be a problem and our state in the process would get the benefit," Mohanty said. He quoted Chiranjeevi as promising that the central government would try to subsidise the expenses on running the Buddhist train. Odisha government spent about Rs 84 lakh while bringing the Buddhist train up to Haridaspur from where the foreign tourists were taken in a luxury bus to different Buddhist sites.
