Seems like, the Crescent Cricket Cup (CCC) is banking on the star power to compete with Celebrity Cricket Legue (CCL) which has the backing of stars like Salman Khan, Ram Charan, Venkatesh, Mohanlal, Sridevi and Sudeep.

After organizing the matches between the Tollywood stars in the first season at Anantapur, the CCC has succeeded in making the T-town stars fight with the Bollywood team on the cricket field in December last year. In the third season, CCC is aiming something big on par with the CCL. And this time, the tourney woud be between the South Indians and the North Indian Stars. The match will be held in Coimbatore in the month of September.

As per reliable sources, CCC management is in talks with Shahrukh Khan, Jr NTR, Suriya and Sanjay Dutt to rope them as their brand ambassadors. "Nothing is confirmed yet, but it would be a great honour to have Jr NTR in our league," says Shafi Shakeel, one of the directors of CCC.

On the other hand, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna has been extending their support by attending the CCC matches ever since they came to know that most of the earnings goes to charity. For now, CCC appears to be the right competitor to take on CCL. Let's see what happens
