I moved to a new insurance on September 20th 2011 , I didn’t get my ID card till 03rd of October. October 3rd had to visit emergency care so called up customer care and took the policy number and visited emergency care. They said my policy is active and I can visit. After that I had a surgery on 12th December , Dec lo October bills vachhayi they didn’t include the insurance when I spoke to them they started saying my policy wasn’t active on that day. I told them I got my policy number from customer care and I was told it was active. They said they will check and get back to me. This happened for 2-3 weeks. They never called me back I was behind them every alternate day. Inthalo the hospital people started calling to pay the bills. Told them I was negotiating with my insurance. Visugocchi end of Jan I moved on to different insurance carrier. After few days I payed all my bills to the hospital people including the initial one. This happened sometime in Feb Last year. All of a sudden I got a bill for another 5 k two days back saying that the insurance paid the amount to the hospital on 2nd of Feb 2012 and I didn’t have policy with them on that date. So they took back the amount from hospital. Now hospital people sent this bill to me asking me to pay another 4900 dollars. What options do I have here? This was for a surgery I had in December for which I had a valid policy. Can I fight against them this time atleast? How do I go forward. Suggestions please. |
