Anand_n:Kindal, In recession low prices take precedence over quality and political values...
i recently heard about Congo's boycotting sikins products, as of now rest of da world is not really comfortable with sinkis product, this may change hugely after Olympics, Indians should be prepared to compete with Chain so that it wont loose its investors |

Mclovin, Conducting a good olympics is an advertisement -true ..but that again only shows economic/organizational prowess.. Irrespective of how olympics goes chinese goods will keep finding consumers so there is no motivation for China to change its stand on Tibet...political heads are not taking a stand -Bush is worried about insulting chinese if he does not attend aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale ik aise gagan ke tale http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWUOI_oxeOc&feature=related

Anand_n:Public opinion or perception?
Both the opinion and perception would change, provided how well china conducts the olympics. Its just like a sales advertisement. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! |

Answer is NO. What is the driver for change ? Public opinion or perception? Not strong enough to make a difference. The only thing that would work is economic repercussions - or a large scale boycott..the first has more chance of success -putting brakes on the economic juggernaut. I personally don't agree with boycotts - making olympics the platform for political issues. aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale ik aise gagan ke tale http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWUOI_oxeOc&feature=related

China is becoming more like a gangleader same as usa. Em cheshinaa adigetodu ledu. Ee nirasanalu annee transient. China ukku paadam kinda naligi potaai. Olympics definitely china ni elevate cheshnai as soon as it got in 2004. 2004 Olympics final shutdown show was pathetic. Edo kanipettaaru ani Greece ki ichhinattunru. Asalu aa show chooshi kadupulo tippindi. Oka dokku dakota orchestra petti, edo singer ni pilshi local language lo vaalle rachha cheskunru. Waster unde. As soon as that show was over, China gave its show welcoming to Beijing. Dummu dulipaaru. Irraga deesaaru. No doubt China will show its range. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! |

http://www.sportinglife.com/others/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_ NAME=others/08/07/08/OLYMPICS_Overview.html whichever country the chinese officials visit with the torch they are facing an unprecedent opposition from the citizens....Tibet being the main cause.... Hope atleast the chinese govt realizes the effect tibet is having on this foreign perception and changes their stand on Tibet with spirit of these games.... |
