see this is where it gets murky. this conscious yearning for better life for next generations. this lack of consciousness has made many species extinct, the polar bears, or almost unbelievably resistant penguins should get some sense knocked into their genes to move out icy regions,and start moving their next generations to more habitable places. or may be these species do not really want to exist any more. are they making a choice to get extinct? will we ever know?

arrey.. chasss was expecting more from this thread. sadly, it ended with an argument on what qualifies as science.
the topic was about genes, scienctific or not, whether the "observations" provided by politicalobserver are valid or invalid? or should I say sensible? is procreation the ultimate goal for humans? should i let my dumb gene to be propagated in this already, as Red would say "Dumbass" world.
we as a species are at our best when we are not talking about ourselves, about ourselves, this darn ego keeps making us dwarfs - not to mean dwarfs cant be best. i cant qualify or quantify the above either scientifically or statistically, its just an irrational, egotistical, misanthropic, asocial but not antisocial ME - well you see im taking about "US"

When u see the philosophy of science this way, it surprisingly opens up your views of nature as one encompassing whole...ur notions of compassion etc become so expansive that humanizing an emotion becomes not only trivial but a point of moot.....this was the whole philosophy of vedas...the path of self realization is more difficult and rewarding the process of discovering a pocket of the universe...for you encapsulate the essence of the entire cosmos. |

The philosophy of any science is not the idea of fame or a degree or an assertion from some on else...its the pleasure of finding things out...the kick of being able to figure out a new move of nature....if you understand this...the first thing that will attract you in the irrelevance and triviality of human condition and life to the edifice of nature's underpinnings.....
