Hi people[s], My son “Chinmai” as you all know had been diagnosed of Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a form of Leukemia, related to the WBC in July 2009 and had been on Chemotherapy, Radiation till May-June 2012. He withstood the toxins and the ill effects of the therapy for almost 3 years and after which he was almost declared “OUT” of his illness. thanks largely to u guys stood by me [in prayers and finances] As they say “Destiny has its way”, it has more Sad & Bad news for him and my family members and our happiness was short lived. Last Nov. 2012, during a regular checkup the doctor observed, an abnormal size of one of his testicle. And on further investigations, scans and tests it was revealed that he has a ”RELAPSE”. And we are back to “Square One” we family members are still wondering “WHY MY SON YET AGAIN" after all that for 3 years. He is been in and out of the Hospital bed since December 2012, when he was supposed to be in the class room learning and preparing for his 2nd std exams and playing around with his friends. This time it’s more cycles of “Intense Chemotherapy” [double the dosage and toxicity] which can have lasting side effects on him at his tender age. And his chance for fighting his illness, cure and survival lies in Bone Marrow Transplant. "If we can avoid the chemo, his chances of recovery and cure and the bone marrow transplant working increase" explains his doctor. The only barrier to the treatment is the cost of the procedure. The whole procedure of finding the match and procuring the Bone Marrow is a herculean task ahead for us, the costs of which can run up to 30–40 lakhs depending on the location of the donor. You could volunteer too to contribute some … and you know any charity institutions or individuals who are willing to contribute towards these costs, PLEASE keep them in loop and let me know. This is my humble request … HELP GET ME BACK, MY SON OUT OF HIS ILLNESS ….. Please pass this information along to who are willing to do some charity. The more people know about the situation, the better chance WE have to raise the funds required for the treatment.
