Rooting Android is like gaining Admin (Super-most User) privileges at the core Linux layer on your android smart-phone device. This practically overthrows all Security based setup. Everything above the Linux layer in Android is executed as a Process, with a unique User-Id assigned to it, granting it specific privileges depending on permission-requests declared in Android-Manifest files, including the Home Screen app (Yes, what you see when the Device boots is also an App, and every carrier-manufacturer have tie-ups to provide a unique custom-flavored Home Screen app for every device). Rooting will begin to execute every Process within the same User-Id space and privileges as the Admin (Super-User), potentially risking data, information and overall performance of different apps on the device. If you don't know why you need root, save yourself the trouble; don't do it. |
