Agreed, from my perspective, if you have pm experience in one of the cmmi certified it services companies, this exam should be a breeze. The pass percentage is 60%. Regarding the qualification itself, it is a nice qualification to have but in some cases u also face the same issue with pmps that u face with mbas, thinking they are know alls because of the qualification. | ||

Need not necessarily be. Your practcal experince might be different than PMI's concepts. My manager who got atleast 15 years of experience in project management failed 2 times in PMP exam. I am not tryign to project as if it is the toughest exam. You got to take it seriously if you want to pass the exam. | ||

No use to renew any certification. Once done it is enough as long as you are practicing it at work place. I completed PMP in 2005 and CSM in 2007. From the last 4 years I am into Agile practice. Agile CSM certification is good if you are in Product Development group. If not go for PMP that will give good overview of buisness, budget, planning, Risk, etc. Agile focus is on Execution only. -3nMar | ||

I would say 2 to 3 months. AGNIPARVATHAM annai post vundali DB lo yekkado on how to prepare ani (really good). Will try to find @home system, also pls search in DB (i am bad in searching). 1. Skim through PMBOK (first 3 chapters would be sooooo boring) - 2 weeks 2. Rita Mulkahy or HEAD first (nice & funny way to learn few theories/concepts) - 3/4 weeks 3. Back to PMBOK ...this would book more sense than first time reading - 2 weeks 4. take sample test/mock test online ...analyse results/go back to concepts where you did badly 5. repeat step 4, until you get comfortable | ||

ikkada PMP pass ayina volla gurinchi no comments.. i have seen some goras (oka tella lady narakam sooinchindi.. find your own butt ante two days spend chesey type) passing PMP and rafing people from then on as if they drank amrutham and einsten entered their body... naaku telisina desi lu evvar ila scene cheyyaled.. i think desis take it as one more degree and a validation of their experience | ||
