Undavalli last two weeks statements chooste Telangana istaaru anna feeling vacchindi. But this speech was very, very fact-based speech. 180 degrees opposite to KCR and his coterie's black-mailing speeches.
Why this speech now?
Samaikyandhra sentiment may be the only issue that can save Congress in rest of Andhra pradesh. And who better than undavalli to rally people on this issue. Atu part ki vote, itu Samaikyandhra. Win-Win. Thais must be their strategy. |

Because the MLAs have to vote and pass a resolution wanting separation in the Assembly...unless the MLAs (atleast 150/175 ) in Seema Andhra region are convinced that division will benefit....they will not pass a resolution....
in fact most of them...in person know that in the long run...division may benefit Godavari and UA dists...
but then - it is a long drawn process....and involves a lot of hard work....and instead they want to keep the status quo going....
and make Hyd a mega city...and reap some thing out of it...where there is something in it for everyone.... |

Even yesterday's meeting is more of a statement where he is saying - see through KCR....do not bend before him....if we want to separate...then the separation has be done based on mutually beneficial terms......by convincing the 175 MLAs ....and so far KCR and co did not even try to do that |

A lot of people have an personal personal opinion - that if Andhra is made a separate state with Vizag as capital it would develop wonderfully.....because of he natural entrepreneurship of the coastal people
But then we also have to see the larger ramifications......and in that theory given above (about division and Andhra -which I also believe in) there is a big IF.....and comes with a lot of conditions and support from the Central govt.

the Brits thought that India would break up and the whole of South Asia would be a battle field for years to come.....But then the actual events prooved them wrong..... |

lol @ United Movement being artificial.
More than 80% of the current population in AP was born in United AP. Majority will want unity, it is a violent minority that is holding the majority populace to hostage. Lets see how many seats TRS will win if Telangana is not declared.
There is a United AP movement only because there is a Break AP Movement by T-Separatists.
The Status Quo is United AP, lets face it, if not for Chidambaram's bungle, there wouldnt have been such emotionally wrangling. When did the suicides start? T-leadership shameless used innocent emotionally immature young students as fodder to shame Rest of the state through guilt. |
