oka room lo nuvvu kookunnavu..room is completely dark & everythhing is closed. now open a window in the room. light will enter into the room. you can see things. now room = camera window = aperture (mass basha lo "bokka" where light enters into camera) how long you want to open the window = shutter speed f/1.8 = pedda bokka.... (ekkuva light will enter into camera) f/5.6 = small bokka (thakkuva light will enter into camera) ISO = light sensitivity complete closed & dark room lo nee eyes meeda torchlight vesthey, you feel some pain..takkuna eyes close chesthavu...means you are very sensitive. ade window open chesthey, konchem bayata light pass avuthundi...appudu nee eyes meeda torchlight vesthey, you won't have much pain...you are not that sensitive. so, A = you decide aperture, camera decide shutter speed T = you decide how long is shutter speed, camera decide aperture M = you decide both. | ||

from post from archives: photography triangle: aperture, shutter speed, ISO. any camera, ivi basic thelisi undali. aperture setting: you chose aperture, camera will select shutter spped. this is used to blur the background. shutter: you chose shutter speed, camera will select aperture. this is to capture movement in the pic. first start with aperture settings. learn how pic will get the blurred b/g based on settings. then go to shutter speed and experiment at different speeds. slow speed lo caputre some water falls and you will be amazed with result. (ekkuva sunlight unte, it will be overexposed, pic will be all white). next step: go to manual mode and you control both aperture and SS. if you got the result what you need in manual, then you are the master anthey..kummeseyyi.. its all digital, so take as many as possible...no wastage unlike in paper photography. :-) buy a good tripod, don't go with cheap if you are serious. you must need tripod for slow shutter speeds. buy a good carry bag, lens covering caps, small dusters, remote trigger (very cheap $5) etc.. next based on your budget and interest..go for macro lenses and fish-eye lenses. I used to have Nikon D60 before, but now owning a canon t3i. i love canon. canon v/s nikon is another big debate...but it shouldn't matter. :-) if possible, 'Understanding exposure' book koneseyyi..around $15 by author Bryan Peterson. its highly recommended by pros. next go to digital photography school forums...its very popular. hope this helps. http://www.chalanachithram.com/discus/messages/125/187250.ht ml?1343750012 | ||
