I think it was $2...may be adi broker cinema ki emo. naaku enduko $2 ani gurthu undi. I watch telugu movies online because I am too lazy to drive 200+ miles for watching a movie. Ko ante Koti is a dark movie with ample vulgarity, crass humor, double entendre and with absolutely no humorous elements. However, it is also true that the movie is highly entertaining - if you can sit through the torturous mid-section of the movie. The movie starts off on a promising note - dithers into a really vulgar and crass cacophony in the name of entertainment - but thankfully pulls itself out from the hole it has dug in and ends on a high note. For whatever it is worth, I loved the movie. It was refreshing to see shades of grey in every character. These days in Telugu Cinema, we tend to see the purest of the pure whites and blacks. Not in this movie. Here you see people turning good and bad according to the situation - a whole lot of grey - delightful departure from the herd. Excellent acting by Sarwanand, Srihari and Priya Anand. Priya has never looked better in any other movie. She has delivered a solid performance to complement her cuteness. The direction has been fabulous in parts and really pedestrian otherwise. The same story, could have been dealt in a much more elegant way. There was unnecessary use of crassness in the name of humor - that fails to evoke any sort of laughter and just manages to remind us that this is not the work of an A grade director. All said and done, Ko ante Koti is surely a one-time watch and is a welcome departure from the Buy One Get Two Free - Walmart Off-The-Shelf stories that we see day in and day out in TFI. I wouldn't advise you to go to a movie hall and watch this movie unless you know exactly what you are doing. Not suitable for family viewing. Strictly not recommended for kids. Bottom line: Sarva deserves a thumbs up for the effort. Priya Anand proves that she can act. Anish Kuruvilla proves that he can mess things up big time. Srihari gets into the skin of the author baked role effortlessly. Naaku nacchindi janaalaki nacchadu... Janaalaki nacchindi naaku nacchadu... Nenanthe.. adho type. |
