DCH was an average grosser at all India level....but cult for youth in cities... Overall last 20 years aite SRK is No.1 SRK had an advantage that people got bored with mass masala movies in early 90s ( anil,jackie, sunny,Sanjay) as all of them were mass heros..SRK became a superstar with overseas taking him to No. 1 Now people got bored of family movies and current trend is mass masala...Salman is clear no. 1 at India level now..SRK is still No.1 in overseas... SRK last 4 movies all have grossed more than 200 corresponding worldwide despite getting disaster and negative reviews... I think it is a matter of 1 hit movie...if ra.one,jthj, don2 can all cross 100 crores net in India and 200 crores worldwide..1 hit movie can seriously break all the records... Aamir Khan - Success ratio is 54.5%. Failures: Mela (flop), Dil Chahta Hai (only did ‘average’ business at the time), Mangal Pandey (below average), Dhobi Ghat (semi hit) and Talaash (semi hit).
