and I dont want to do this...it is a blotch or denigration to establish its verity to some one.....its a belief.....I wont make exaggerated remarks like anand_n...as in VEDAS NEVER TOLD THIS..... I believe that the point on which I countered bichapathi was solely on tatparyam...and that was also...he can affirm that....di dI ever mention that u were wrong in your intrepretation...I always sais atleast verbatim...there is NO exact stanza which said what he did..... may be I dont know anything...if I concede that...I am happy to do so.....but I dont intend to carry on this idiocy...here....but I still stick to my claim...if she feels that she knows more of vedas....let us take upon an open challenge at any time....and then when I loose I would accept her to be the all encompassing... N e ways just to satiate ur so called "intelligent" inquisition: Sukta 1.164, also called asya vaimya suktha. deenilo sumaru oka 75 riks (anaga rithvikudu ucharinchevi...agni hotram deggara) auchitudu ane rishi ki....veda sangrahiya upadesam idhi..... the sukta is addressed to several deities and different parts of the sukta have different chandas. one of the riks say "ekam sadvipra bahudavadanti"....this is the line where rigveda intially lays down his claim of one god...... out of the 75 odd (not sure) of this riks.....atleast half of them end with the stance that COW is the aghnya jeevam....and follow it up by the description of jeevatam and paratma....in the form two receeding lights from a human corpse... "aghnya" in sanskrit means the not killable...not injurable....this some intreprat as the origin of the word...Gaayam in modern day slang....which originated from the description of cow.... again...this is rigveda.....infact the upanishads which came later..after rig veda...introduced several aadendums....but as per as rigveda....there are numerous places...especially in the conversation between Indra and Indrani...where there is a frequent reference to the fact that Indra should consume 1000 bulls to rival the sun god.....there was no explanation to that stanza....until srimad bhagavatam....refer to the same lines and lays down a meaning that....indra shud get a 1000 offerings of soma...which is also a synonym of udhara ushnam....soma for long was believed to be the food that the "satvika bhojanam" comprises of.... | ||

I will quote those at the top off my head here to demarcate btw manu smriti and veda (also called sruti) According to the Veda, a physician's job is very important and deserving praise and brings him prestige Rig Vedam: 2/33.4, 6/50.7, 9/112.3, 10/39.5, and 10/97.6). But the Manu-smriti, contradicting this Vedic view completely, relegates the physician to a lowly position and even implies that he is not worthy of socializing with other varnas (Manu-smriti: 3/152, 3/180, 4/212, and 4/220). The same thing is observed about the women's status according to the Manu-smriti. Note that a woman according to the Veda (Rig Veda: 10/85.27) is empowered to rule her household, whereas she has no say in her affairs in the smrti (Manu-smriti: 5/147). | ||

In majority of cases...Nobody hates a person by his caste....they hate him for the way they present themselves.. I will tell you an incident that i encountered a year back when i went to india... I know 2 ppl from the same Back ward class....i saw person A in the temple one day....he was all shabby with some stupid pant and a shirt which were not even clean....with a shabby shave and haircut....when the preist had to bless him with the satagopam he hesitated to do it by his looks.....we sat down at the temple for a while and then i happened to see the person B who also came to say his prayers....he was well groomed....with a clean white shirt and a well combed hair....and a tilak on his forehead.....nobody stared at him or gave a strange look.The priest was normal, Person A and Person B both belong to the same backward class.....so do you think person A got strange looks because of his backward cast, gullo ki ranivvaledu ani gaggolu edataru, i dont think so....its just the way you present yourself in the public, that makes a difference. I do agree that in some remote villages ppl do hate them for their caste but the majority of them are hated because of their attitude and their social behaviour. We should teach people a better way to project and present themselves. I think that will solve a lot of caste related hatred. Its just the Presentation STUPID. Caste gurinchi pedda pedda speaches avasaram ledu..just teach some sanity.... If you are not with me then you are on the OTHER side. |
