Triggerblaster:

Deftechs are good not sure about waht simba says but, deftech supercube subwoofer rocks.

My comments are not on the brand but the specific speakers mentioned below for comparison. There are way better Def Tech speakers if you are willing to spend $$s.

Guru:

they claim that two built-in subs can fill the room well than one dedicated sub.

The built-in subs in deftechs are good if you are not putting dedicated sub. But, dedicated sub will make any other speakers as well or better than DefTechs.

Thx, that was very helpful.

Saw a video on youtube from def tech: they claim that two built-in subs can fill the room well than one dedicated sub. There is still an option to have a dedicated sub for extra oopmh.

I m currently using INfy-tss 1200 and just love them..so leaning towards INfy :-)

Guru:

could u explain how the comparison was done

Sensitivity: Higher the better. High sensitivity speaker needs lower power to be driven putting lesser load on receiver.

Infy: 93 db
DefTech: 91 db

Drivers: Infy has dedicated driver for playeing mid range frequencies

Infy has 2 x 6-1/2" for low freq. and 1 x 4" for mid range freq plus tweeter
DefTech has 2 x 5-1/4" for lowe and mid range plus tweeter.

Bass: Lower the better

Infy goes down to 38 hz where as Def Tech can go down to 30 hz. DefTech recommends no additional subwoofer (as it can play some low freq). If you augment a subwoofer to these, infy matches well (as there is no overlap) than Deftech. If you don't have another subwoofer, then DefTechs are better here.

Chinappudu exams lo point-by-point answer chesinattu undhi :-)

Still, Infinity Primus P363 is better than these Def Techs.

Infinity speakers have better sensitivity, dedicated mid-range drive and tighter bass. Infy is the winner here.
