Good points raised by both and you caught the drift of the post. Though it was satirical in nature, without a proper social context, it would be meaningless. What i don't get is folks who say "who are you to question/laugh/comment" ani. Two responses - a) these kinds of events invite such comments b) freedom of expression. Without any exaggerations or generalisations or treating everyone too kindly, Seinfeld also could not have done anything. If people just answer, that we have money and we can do it, that would be a perfectly valid response. Anthe gani, all other reasons are rationalisations. The big social issue in AP is that, jokes apart, because of the herd mentality and social pressures, people live beyond their means and that usually is the first step on the corruption ladder. | ||
