Havingfun:Is this really a myth?
HDCP is handshake process between source and display (final) device. All the pass-through devices must be HDCP compliant. This is secure the digital path and prevent any illegal device to copy the content. Mee case lo, the devices are all HDCP compliant and you had a faulty cable. |

Simba:Inka cheap ga kooda vellocchu, but HDCP compliant kaadu. may not work with your HDMI source
Hey HDCP compliance is a myth ani chadivaanu on AV forums? But as per my experience, I cant get netflix to play through my apple TV and XBox (only video and no audio) over the HDMI cable with HDCP error...But when I swapped the cable with my cable TV out, I aint getting the error.... Is this really a myth? I am looking for HDCP compliant HDMI cable now... ________________________________________________ "Oh Jesus!!! Please save me from your followers" |

Rasputin:Aren't smaller AWG (thicker cables) better for long cables (like 25+ feet)
Simba:General rule: Longer the cable, lower the AWG should be.

Maverick:HDMI cables ki AWG rating edi best?
AWG does not matter much for digital cables. It matters for analog cables, speaker wires. General rule: Longer the cable, lower the AWG should be. |

He is looking for splitter not switcher. Still, there is a chance of degrade in quality. Get a receiver with 2 HDMI output ports. |
