sorry percapita income grew to 60000 in 2011 it was 25000 in 2004

when every price increased 250% to 300% then what quality of life increased when percapita income BECAME LITTLE MORE THAN DOUBLED actually quality of life decraese ayinatlu kadha then how can we call it as development

Andhra Pradesh GDP in financial year 2011 was 5,67,636 crore (US$123.56).

andhra Pradesh nominal gdp from 2004 to 2011

224,713 246,210 273,730 306,645 327,731 347,344 381,942 407,949

percapita income grew from 25000 to 50000 from 2004 to 2011 i.e 200% BUT PRICES GREW 300% for basic necessities like rent milk pulses etc ..

then what kind of development this is ??

counting for inflation how much GDP numbers increased in real terms..in the past 10 years inflation increased 3 to 5 times i.e 300 to 500%

rent ,milk ,pulses every thing increased three to five times from 2002 to 2012

can some one give gdp figures in 2001 and gdp figures in 2011

A few days back, I read a small article - an excerpt from a Gujariti newspaper reprinted in an english journal.

Two-hundred years ago, Ahmedabad’s businessmen traded in silk with China - Narendra Modi was not born then.
Hundred years ago, the topmost textile mills in Gujarat were set up - Modi was not born then.
Fifty years ago, Gujarat got Amul - Modi was a kid then.
Thirty years ago, the largest fertiliser plants were set up in Bhavnagar and Ankleshwar - Modi was not active in politics

maybe an article wtiten in jest - but the theme was that we should not give too much credit to any politician.

ippudu gurthu vasthundhi....

KANDLA port was established in 1965. Modi might not have even entered politics at that time.....
And if a Port was set up in 1965 - started working, then the work on setting up the port and planning might have started in the late 1950s......

secondly, hinterland sangati ki vaste, i'm not sure but... i heard that chennai port is over-loaded, and and even goods from krishna and guntur were exported thru this port.

When Bellary Iron Ore mining was on - some of it was exported through Krishnapatnam. Now that has stopped.

Rice, Granite entha export chesesthaaru from that region - to make it a very large port?
And other ports also export these commodities - but are not dependent on these.

Chennai is an Industrial hub - but chennai itself has a major port.

My point is - mundhara hinterland development chesi - in terms of agriculture / industries, then ports medha concentrate cheyyali - unless there is some natural commodity like Iron ore / Coal etc which needs to be exported and that natural wealth is close to this port.

Unna ports ni capacity expansion lekunda - newer ports endhuku? And that too when the business model itself is a doubt. Antha speculative gaa chesthunnaru.

Ports laanti Infrastructure ante - oka 50 years varuku planning undaaali - not for 5-10 years.

Port petti - chuttu SEZ petti - aa SEZ lo Industries raavali - aa output ni export cheyyali - anukovadam lo thappu ledhu....but it needs a will to carry out the vision over the next 40-50 years.
