When did a Cong govt fail a confidence vote? Most of the presidents were Cong appointees, so they went for polls whenever a non-cong govt fell. | ||

depends on who is leading the voice against the govt. BSP/SP/Lalu/Paswan etc parties are blackmailed showing the devil of CBI .. and so they support all nonsense schemes/reforms of govt .. and if someone in opposition can assure them .. ur cases and these issues are not related and convince them .. they will disassociate from the corrupt Congress ruling .. It is mis-use of power when they dismiss a popular govt. Ippudu next lok sabha election tarvaata, if no one is able to form a govt, it will be president rule again. with POWERCUTS LPG LIMITATION AND PRICES SKYROCKETING i dont think people will vote for cong however populist budget is they cant make petrol 55 rs again they cant make diesel 35 rs again they cant give 12 LPG cylinders and lift ban on new connections again after 6 months so no matter TEHY GIVE RICE FOR 2 RS peopel wont vote for cong even poor PEOPEL use CURRENT,9 power charges doubled every where ) GAS ( lpg prices restriction) DISEL( this affeced transport charges heavily ..transport cahrges i.e bus charges doubled or tripled )in last 5 years PETROL even poor peopel using second hand bikes so poor people wont eat just plain rice and sleep every day without using gas power buses etc .. | ||

I think its left to the discretion of President. If the cabinet recommends dissolution of Lok Sabha, then president dissolves it immediately. If not, the president can "wait" for 6 months to see if anyone will be able to form a government. | ||
