Metro lo advantage. RTC mottam tishi dobbutharu.. only ferry type busese only metro station around areas lo naduputharu.. like buses go round and round and drop people at metro stations. DSNR to Ameerpet, hightech city it takes 1 hr which will be used by commuters for persona work.. lifestyle pura badaljayega. Main problem with the Bangalore metro has been the slow pace of land acquisition and court cases filed by people losing their land. Bangalore has never had a policy of road widening so they had to start afresh for this purpose. Actual construction is not that time consuming. They have also aligned the track to suit the core Bangalore areas - it takes all kinds of random twists and turns. Instead of laying tracks for the new areas, they have laid tracks in all the old BDA areas. Moreover the Bangalore metro some complex tunneling and construction work near the Majestic, Vidhan Soudha etc. Btw, most of the construction of the Bangalore metro is being done by Andhra companies - largely by Navauga and Soma. Fortunately or unfortunately, Hyd roads have been widened many times over the years. Hence there is a lot of scope for laying metro tracks without fresh land acquisition. | ||

good thing abt L&T execution is non disruption of traffic as in Bangalore. Nightmare for the people in Bangalore during the construction. Here in hyderabad only 20 percent traffic is affected. Not much jams Vasthunna Mee Kosam | ||

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited said it had awarded signalling and train control, and communication system contracts to various subsidiaries of French multinational Thales group. Signalling and train control involves advanced communication-based train control system technology, a proven driverless technology with low operating, energy and maintenance costs. The communication system includes a secured and reliable mobile communication and is a modern technology based on gigabit Ethernet IP backbone on optical fibre cable, being used for the first time for Metro in India, according to the company. Barring a couple of smaller packages, awarding of almost all the major contracts for the Rs 16,000-crore (Rs 160 billion) metro project had been completed, said VB Gadgil, chief executive and managing director of L&T Metro. He said they would be further accelerating the pace of the work to complete the 72-km long three-corridor project by 2017 as scheduled. |
