i think shiridi is a private sansthan still.. I have seen a major difference in 18 years.. the crowd went up by leaps and bounds still I disregard all the commercialization for baba.. I had a unique experience with shirdi - we went to maharashtra trip (ajantha ellora, shiridi, bombay etc) in 1992.. something went wrong with the camera we had on the trip.. when we came back to Hyd and developed the reels.. the only picture that came well was the one i took of sai baba inside shiridi temple (then they used to allow that) | ||

Oct 1st week , went to Shirdi for the 4th time. Unlike the previous trips, this time we spent a day extra in Shirdi. It gave me time in observing the surroundings and people who come there. Few things I could not digest. 1) Not even a single muslim pilgrim seen. Shirdi is converted into an out and out hindu place. There are temples of Ganesha, Siva etc around/inside the devasthanam. Muslims are kept off or they might have stayed away. Whatever, i feel it is not fair 2) Pilgrims fallen into a race. They keep boasting about Why Shirdi is greater than other places. No real bhakti seen. In the darshan-queue, my friend asked me if the metal work around Baba's statue is gold or bronze or something else. I said in a sarcastic manner that it cannot be gold. An oldman standing behind us got angry and replied. "It is pure gold. Shirdi is no 2 in India" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NIL BULLS<<<<<<<<<<<<< |
