That's what I've been telling since 2009. Obama is no match to Clinton in economy. I'm really scared of my social security & 401k once the economy collapses. Banks won't let us withdraw our money, while credit card companies start pestering us everyday. 1929 was the worst of the worst. Printing money is a not a solution. In US, theoretically so also practically FED acts as an independent institution. This has been the saving factor for US. Fiscal cliff is a major issue that the new president has to deal with. If Obama is re-elected, given his path, dealing the fiscal cliff will be difficult and disastrous if Obamacare is implemented. Those who are investing in stock market, please have sizable (>50%) liquidity. Stock market is likely to shrink / and collapse any time during the next year. Also, I am not really sure how Romney would deal with fiscal cliff. His path too has several ifs', assumptions and based on several untested theories. If Romney could take measures to increase the share of manufacturing exports substantially, that would be the saving pill. It is quite interesting to see how US would turnaround its economy or get into deeper crisis and put the world into yet another Depression similar to that of Great Depression (1929-32). | ||

Frankly speaking, Obama did not show any leadership on the economic front. May be his team might have ideas. But, he ran out of new ideas.
