Sarita hanged herself to death using a cable at the couple’s apartment at Madison in Wisconsin on Thursday, her relatives said. Sarita, an engineer, had married Sudhir 13 months ago, and had gone to the US on October 4. Sarita’s family came to know about the incident through a suicide note she mailed to her brother-in law, Gurava Reddy. Her father, Munagala Srinivasulu Reddy is a cashier at the SBI branch in Buchireddypalem. Mr Srinivasulu and his wife Sumathi blamed Sudhir for the death of their daughter. A wailing Srinivasulu said he never expected his daughter to commit suicide as she was well-educated, and could live on her own even if divorced. Mr Gurava Reddy alleged that Sudhir had been harassing Sarita to agree to get a divorce ever since she went to the US.
