However, plans to get the trailer out have been halted by natural causes. Yes, Hurricane Sandy has, as you’ll no doubt be aware, been causing devastation and loss across the east coast of America – and as a result Rockstar’s New York office (where much of the publisher’s PR comes from) has been without power. This has meant that the video, which was apparently meant to be out already, is running late. “We are working on a second trailer,” the studio confirms, “unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon. Its hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office.” “We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay,” adds the statement. It’s been almost twelve months since the last trailer – doesn’t time fly? For old time’s sake, here it is one more time – with over 25 million views. Pre-orders for the game kick off on Monday, and we’ve seen what appears to be a letter to a US retailer highlighting pre-order goodies along with a note that says the trailer was already released, which pretty much proves that Sandy has indeed halted Rockstar’s marketing run. The trailer might land today, but it’s more likely to be on Monday.
