Quantummorphed:Mr.Hyderabad... i think that article was just outlining the current limitations of biology based on the premise of evolution than suggesting alternate course of action....It is very much like QM in physics...people were unhappy abt the whole structure it created...but it is indeed true tho philosophically there are certain things still shaky abt QM... Darwins theory ( read mendel's postulates of natural selection) are the closest that biology ever got to be lain on the back of an axiomatic treatment. Unfortunately, most of the origin of species has been refuted thus far but the basic premise seems to serve beautifully......we once talked abt role species in the course of evolution....evidences have proven that its the gene that controls everything mindless of any other gene.....as good as it gets...Coupled with the laws of statistical mechanics...one can take this gene level intrepretation and putforth a probabilistic version of evolution...but the problem is that any tractable Stat mech problem/simulation assumes a lot of simplification....otherwise the lifetime of the universe doesnt suffice to simulate a real time gene level maipulation....
Yes, he didn't propose any new theories. But was just questioning the Darwin theory's shortcomings. He is suggesting us to look in a different path i guess. I found it interesting about the relation to metabolism etc. btw, meru em chestharu mama? r u into any research filed? |

Mrhyderabad:All the links that you gave above are - NOT SCIENCE. This is the negative side of GOOGLE power. There are millions of this kind of articles on web which will mislead lot of people. It is just waste of your time and energy if you follow these stuff.... If you are very serious about learning dna, evolution etc try the authentic sites / mags like Science, Scientist, Sci-AM, Nature etc. Just my 2 cents...
Perfect answer.....All those links seem to be some specious argument's on the back of pseudo science...what the hell is spirit in science..... |

The changes are NOT KNOWN PUBLICLY, because the scientific community feels it would FRIGHTEN THE POPULATION. However, people are changing at the cellular level. I am working with three children right now who have three DNA helixes. That paragraph reeks of so much gall I've lost all taste in reading anymore. The evolution of human beings is indeed very interesting. Don't think there's gonna be any real changes in the gene pool though, we got low selective pressures and reduced barriers of gene flow. Of course if the pandemic does strike, it might create a good scenario of some evolution to happen. Not sure if a lot of people are anticipating it though. |
