BS.. SSK is no saint. Yes he acted in many movies and is always the producers hero. His success rate is less(looking at the 300 odd movies he acted). And yes he acted in some very good movies.No saint - he went again NTR (good or bad is different),he went again SPB, second marriage (cannot digest how that arrangement worked so far),made a lot of enemies in politics(padmalaya studios etc). People make fun of his bendapparao steps(no mocking like that NTR/Chiru other than anti-fans).Even the peak of achievement, he will after NTR and Chiru. I think Mahesh has reached the a similar peak. He is less controversial.I dont Mahesh at all but the facts doesnt change because of that. | ||

Filmbuff, Many that do second marriages opt to avoid having kids for inheritance and emotional problems later. Fishy or Meaty, I doubt Mahesh's mom had much to say about the arrangement.:-) As for popularity, people in the 80s were unaware of heroes real life and character. They treated them like God. But in today's small world and constant exposure to public, Mahesh being true to his own personality and still retaining his popularity is awesome. | ||

MadrasCalcutta - that is damn unfair I feel. Over a period of a decade and half, the kind of popularity that krishna saw was huge, something that the current gen might find it difficult to fathom. Along with NTR and Chiru, he is among the top three biggest stars in Telugu. It will take some time before Mahesh sees the same success. As far as personal success is concerned, apart from the second marriage blot, Krishna is known to be the cleanest star around - whether it be towards producers or heroines, he is untarred. Even his second marriage is a bit quirky - he has not had any kids with her, so there is more to it (or less) than meets the eye. | ||
