99 world cup zimbabwe game taruvata crowd chanting gurtuleda. his dad was in the crowd that day and felt very bad. he didnt get harassed physically but by hearing to the hatred fans had against Azzu. If team loses captain should be blamed I agree but not as if cornering him as sole reason.
people in this DB are all from AP and were/are DB fans at some point in time. I have discussed with some north indians who r pure azzu haters long before match fixing scandal.

BCCI okkate kadhu, fans kuda mostly ganged up against Azhar around world cup 1999 for all the failures of team. remember the incident in world cup when his dad was harassed and crowd bad mouthing him for the indian team loss. by that time match fixing has not even surfaced.
I agree that he was not very communicative and friendly with the team, especially after his second marriage. appatnunchi separate entity ga chusevaru, prati failure ki azhar ni blame chesevaru. he got axed few times from the team or as captain and came back in style.

match fixing kaani lekuntey...he would be an example/model for many people.....

In whatever way we try. we only end up adding more culprits to Match fixing saga but not eliminate 'Azhar' from it.....he sold himslef and its hard to defend him.......
it's not just a player who is accused we are talking of here....It's 'Indian Captain'......and that is a big role......if a captain sells himself...he not only betrayed his nation but his players who look upto him.........except the players who teamed up with him in that fixing......
Azhar as a player sold.....wouldn't be as big as him the Captain invloved in it...... |

this story was always in circulation eversince match-fixing came up.....it was widely believed that BCCI official somehow were linked or Knew about it and didn't take action.....
another version was they wanted this investigation to come to a conclusion given the damage it was causing....if only a couple of players were responsible then they would have brought criminal charges or dragged them to court....but what happened in the end was punishing a couple of players and ending the matter for public and media sake |

I liked Azhar for his wristy flicks.....and his electric fielding.......
Match fixing is Desa Droham however we try to justify it by comparing to corrupt politicians......
Desa Drohi...and i hated him to the core when he used his minority card by saying....he is vicitmised because he is a muslim....••••••• forgot that we all loved him as a captain and made him a captain of Hindusthan.........
Selling matches for diamond watches....is worst than what most politicians do.....for that matter.....
