Searchers is frequently named among the top 10 movies of all time in many movie lists like Sight and Sound etc. But i feel that John Ford has made better westerns than Searchers. But that is by John Ford's standards. Unforgiven is also quite good. | ||

Days of heaven is among my top 10 movies of all time anyday. We use the word poetry rather loosely for many movies. All such usage should be banned until one sees Days of heaven. Very little dialogues, or screenplay as such. Cinema as a visual medium ani Terence malick nunchi nerchukovali. Most of Leone's movies are very slow. Even Good, Bad and the Ugly is very slow and long at nearly 2:45 mins. But that pacing is unhurried, deliberate, and is part of Leone's narrative style. | ||
