Farmer, Yash Chopra knew exactly what he wanted the songs to coney in his movies and did not settle for less than perfect lyrics - the songs in his movies continue the charaters and storyline - they are almost never just there for being there ..which is why they stuck in memory .. Waqt was the first multistarrer in Hindi ..deewar had its dialogues released in LP records - a magenta LP- , again a first all LPs were black till then... Dhool ka phool was about a hindu boy being raised by a muslim with the classic song - tu hindu banega na musalman banega, insaan ki aulad hai, insaan banega Kabhie kabhie was another classic Lamhe was way ahead of its time as IPC said - silsila got burnt by the real life affair of ab- rekha at the time .. Kaala Pathar was another well made film of people battling their personal demons and a coal mine disaster.. The man created two superstars - Amitabh and SRK ... silsila commercial success ani rasaru evaroo ee thread loo...not true...it was a flop...beautifully made though...it was ahead of the time..would have been a hit if it was released a decade later... eee madhya kontha mandi bollywood reporters romance king ani tag thagilincharu Yash chopra ki...yash chopra made movies of all genres....waqt,deewar,kala pathar,daag...etc...in almost all of his movies, he used to portray issues like extra marital affairs, illegitimacy, adoption...etc.. last 2 movies matram baddd....veer zara and dil to pagal hai...richa khan gadu sani laga pattesadu peddhayanni... chass | ||
