That is why GOOG entered mobile business. They now have mobile search covered, although it is at lower margin. Mobile revenue is incremental to GOOG now. Half of the smartphones out there are Android base devices, which have GOOG as default search engine. FB still doesn't have a concrete plan to make money of its user base. Why do you think the stock is trading at where it is? Removing GOOG maps from iPhone might not be a big deal for GOOG. They now make money of YouTube on iPhones which never had before. GOOG ad Revenue is affected by migration of user to Mobile platform , like face book. GOOG maps are removed from Apple products. It takes much time for advertizes to follow Mobile world powered by adroid, as is happening in the web world. Before it raises again, it has to see below 600 | ||

Search business is doing good. Paid clicks are up 33% YoY this quarters, although cost per click is down. FB has yet to show the investment world that they can make money successfully and dent into GOOG's revenue. They have the second best eco systems in phones/tablets. Pretty soon there will be 1 billion android powered devices around the world. They have been successful in capturing the mobile search market. YouTube is doing great in terms of revenue. I really doubt as Nov & Dec is holiday season and sales will skyrocket. BTW, I am not planning to add any AAPL and keeping a close eye on GOOG & PCLN.

now it is at 634 and has some weakness in terms of - strong Samsung competition in mobile and tablet , Microsoft entry into tablet market - may see 540-560's in Jan - even Mini ipad is not so exciting after mega iphone 5 launch. | ||
