Andhra Pradesh was formed because Andhra Reddies wanted to neutralize/marginalize the Andhra Kammas (besides many other reasons), Kammas were nothing in Telangana and Reddies were strong in Telangana. The idea was to consolidate Reddies. And consolidate they did, if not for NTR coming to power, Kammas would never have had any political power in AP. But people with castiest mindset like Arikatla link LR for bashing and then state that these people want unity only to loot ( this loot is again a comedy which can be separately discussed) In the end, instead of discussing the issue at hand, people on andhra side discuss LR and on telangana side discuss LR while everyone else gets a clean pass. There is a dirty castiest vested interest behind arikatlas posts. | ||

Whenever there is a large scale agitation for separate Telangana, Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal makes provocative statements undermining the aspirations of the Telangana movement. On Monday, too, Lagadapati made a humiliating statement on the Telangana March saying the agitation had split the Telugu people. He also demanded that the state government should shut down Osmania University and flush out all the pro-Telangana students. Initially, the Telangana Joint Action Committee leaders used to react to Lagadapati’s statements, but they have started taking him non-seriously.
