For in India, Bhakti or what may be called the path of devotion or hero-worship, plays a part in its politics unequalled in magnitude by the part it plays in the politics of any other country in the world. Bhakti in religion may be a road to the salvation of the soul. But in politics, Bhakti or hero-worship is a sure road to degradation and to eventual dictatorship.

Shocking : Missionary’s Conversion work resurfaces at Tirupati Tirumala

July 25, 2012

Shravan Shukla Saptami, Kaliyug Varsha 5114

Now Hindus should demand strong action to be taken against these missionaries to convert Hindus in Tirupati Tirumala. Hindus should also pressurise Andhra Pradesh Govt. to pass ‘Anti-Conversion Law’. Also this incident proves the need for establishment of Hindu Rashtra, where such incidents will never happen !
Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh, India) : After lying low for some time, the problem of proselytisation has reared up its ugly head once again at Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara. The issue which rocked the TTD about six years ago, has erupted again as evidenced by the fact that in a raid conducted by the TTD’s Vigilance and Security personnel on three houses in the TTD staff quarters at Tirumala late on Monday night following a tip-off, bundles of religious publications, wall-posters and such other propaganda material belonging to Christian missionaries were reportedly recovered.
The Vigilance sleuths raided the houses of Eswaraiah, Krishnamma and Yasodamma — all working as ‘sweepers’ in the TTD’s Health Department — acting on a tip-off alleging that they were engaged in ‘missionary activities’ and religious propagation in their quarters at Tirumala.
The trio was immediately taken into custody for interrogation in view of a blanket ban imposed by the government on any kind of religious activities other than Hindu religion at Tirumala and on propagation of other religion in and around the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara and also in the areas under its jurisdiction both on and off the Tirumala hills. Meanwhile, the Vigilance wing reported the matter to the higher-ups in the TTD who are said to be contemplating shifting all the three staffers to Tirupati with immediate effect, pending further inquiry.
TTD slammed

Meanwhile, a BJP team led by its State official spokesperson, G. Bhanuprakash Reddy at a press meet here expressed its shock over the controversial ‘missionary activities’ flaring up again at Tirumala, hurting the psyche of thousands of devotees that throng Tirumala daily from all over India.
The BJP leaders slammed the TTD for its laxity on such a sensitive issue, especially at Tirumala, the abode of Lord and urged its top-brass to go all out to end the ‘menace’ once and for all.

Three Christian employs arrested for possessing bible in Andhra Pradesh

After lying low for some time, the problem of possession of Christian literature has reared up once again at Tirumala, the abode of HINDU GOD IN ANDHRA PRADESH. The issue which rocked the TTD about six years ago, has erupted again as evidenced by the fact that in a raid conducted by the TTD’s Vigilance and Security personnel on three houses in the TTD staff quarters at Tirumala late on Monday night following a tip-off, found scriptures and bibles belonging to Christian missionaries were reportedly recovered.

On May 22, 2007 , the Government of Andhra Pradesh promulgated the Ordinance 3 of 2007 called "the Andhra Pradesh Propagation of Other Religions in the places of Worship or Prayer (Prohibition) Ordinance, 2007.".Global Council of Indian Christians(GCIC) have been in the forefront fighting against the unconstitutional government order issued by Andhra Pradesh state government

This empowered the State to prohibit propagation of religion in places of worship or prayer other than the religion traditionally practised at such place.
G.O. Ms. No: 746 of Revenue (Endowment III) Department dated 02-06-2007 was issued according a special status and dispensation to Tirumala changing its nomenclature to Tirumala Divya Kshetram (TDK) and another G.O. Ms. No: 747 of Revenue (Endowment III) Department dated 02-06-2007 was issued notifying some Hindu temples for prohibiting propagation of other religions.

The places of worship and prayer where the propagation of other religions is banned by the notification include the Tirumala Divya Kshetram (TDK), all the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and temples in Tirupati city, and nineteen other major temple towns located all over A.P.

Still worse, under Government Order No. 747, the A.P. Government has included in the ban more Hindu temple towns along with the Tirumala Divya Kshetram. This notified places of worship for prohibiting propagation of other religions under Section 2(2) of the above mentioned Ordinance are TDK, ten Theerthams lying in TTD limits, another ten temples mentioned in the first schedule of A.P.
