I do not have a complete understanding of tax laws. But broadly, I think this is the reason for lesser tax rates on investment returns: Nenu $1000 oka company lo invest chesanu. That is the difference between income tax which is a 1st time tax and capital gains tax which is a second tax on money that was already taxed as income the first time. Yeah Romney is rich. So what you wish you were too. He paid 1.9 million in taxes on captial gains last year from money he had already paid even more millions of taxes on before. That's the reason for the claim that rich people don't pay enough taxes. People don't understand that truely rich people don't make first time earned income. They don't get bi-weekly paychecks like everybody else because they don't have the same kind of jobs everyone else has. They put their already taxed money to work to make more and it gets taxed again at a lesser amount. Mitt Romney is 65 years old.... That's a retirement age. A 65 year old guy who doesn't have a regular paycheck job just paid 1.9 million dollars in secondary taxes. Get over it. | ||

dude what's so wrong about donating 30% of his income to charity??? The Mormon community helps people with so many charities whenever there is a crisis.... After Katrina incident mormon groups came from all over the country to help clean up the mess in New Orleans......Do you expect to seek any help from Obama's community people ???? I know many of my Mormon colleagues who help their neighbors in cutting down the trees and helping people in moving their stuff... I want to see bama's college records & birth certificate ?? Nobody cares how much he pays, it is the institutional advantage these people get from the system, and these same people are against anyone who look to the govt for things like food and medicine. If they are successful its totally their "hard work "and if the fail The govt "failed" them.  | ||
