There is no conspiracy theory or otherwise. But war, like most things, is an opportunity for the rich and powerful, to get more rich and powerful. Remember, the same world powers that voice 'peace and nonviolence', sell weapons to both governments and militants, directly or indirectly.:-) What worries me is the pretence the rest of us have to put up... perhaps I am cynical. I have a hard time saluting government forces just as much as I have accepting extremism by fundamentalists. | ||

Spent a lot of time today reading articles, hearing stories on the radio about 9/11 and how it impacted people. Read stories of Desis being afraid about attacks, feeling guilty, worrying about acceptance, etc. So much of American/world media is all about how 9/11 changed the world, and the lives of the several lost thousands. May their souls rest in peace. How come the same feelings are not placed for the millions of Arabs who have died and all those that are being killed today in the name of fighting terrorism? RIP, to all those innocent Arab men, women and children who were/are victims of the so called war on terrorism. |
