I think you have most of it. Here is what you need to do. Before you submit, check the status and do it only if it is completed or failed. How you find it? I dont remember the best way. But, one of the option is - you can run the command. capture the results into memory, iterate thru roes of jobs and look for status. I am not sure if there are better APIs came up in the last 10 years. But, I used to do this all the time and you should be able to do it. Good Luck. | ||

need a rexx code.. to trigger a job with different job names for multiple runs of the same jcl.. like.. my rexx will search for some criteria.. if multiple possitive results.. multiple jobs should run with different job names... though rexx trigger cheyali.. howw.. I have variable in jobname of the jobcard.. but problem is.. if CHIKITHA1, 2 jobs are running and my search starts again after 10 mins and if there are 2 matches matching.. again it will try to trigger CHIKITHA1 and 2.. problem is.. CHIKITHA1 job run avuthundaga inkosari same job trigger ayithe.. job fail avthundhi.. duplicate tho... ---- naku CHIKITHA1 to CHIKITHA9 run avvali.. be it in 10 min search.. or even after 20 min search.. | ||
