Movie kelletappudu almost setha movie (SCB range) annttugaa anukoni bayaluderaaa. Half heartedly. Didnt want topay $14 for an junk flop movie. To my surprise after seeing the ovie I cam satisfied Last 30 minutes is simply superb. KRR-Nagarjuna-Keeravani mesmerised the audience Sab kaa maalik ek - was disappointed with the placement of the song. Second half better than 1st half. No Signature |

Platypus:My only disappointment was that there was no scene with the Shirdi "aarti" chant!
this is exactly what i felt annai, just came back from the movie, naku baga nacchindi, my 2 year old sat through the movie without making any fuss at all, she watched the movie and was angry with the Wales guy when he scolded BABA , yes cinemalo arati koncham vundi, where they dressed up baba with pagdi (baba vastram thala meeda), enduko cut chesesaru aa scene, this scene comes when Wales and Brahmanandam discussing about Baba... cinema lo only draw back antey comedy and Kamilinee Mukherjee anipinchindhi naku, she couldn't do justice to her role, everyone else did wonderful job. Nagarjuna hats off to him, stellar performance... last thing - monna evaro first day first show review ani, evo chettha scenes Shayaji shindey, and KRR trademark scenes by Kamilini ani evo chethaga rasaru, assalu alanti scenes ye levu cinemalo, may be aa kurradiki agend GENDA veru yemo , movie is must watch for everyone, that's all i can say about this. Maa vurlo 46 shows anta, this show was full and the ticket price is 10.99, released in Cineplex, I think is first for our movies(telugu) in Toronto. First things first, I don't know the exact history of Shirdi Saibaba. I believe in God. I respect Shirdi Saibaba and firmly believe He is a form of God. However, as I mentioned earlier I haven't got the slightest clue whatsoever of Saibaba's origin/life in Shirdi. I also don't believe that Saibaba performed any trivial "miracles". He was well beyond such gimmicks. I believe they are all purely grandmother tales which people have over the time come to accept as reality. So when I went to Shirdi Sai movie, my mind was blank. I didn't have the slightest idea of what the story was.. how it was going to unravel and finally end. In short, I had to accept whatever was shown on the screen at its face value. And it was nothing short of brilliant. K Raghavendra Rao mercifully shies away from his trademark scenes which he normally injects in every movie of his - social or devotional. Here the screenplay is clean, clear and to the point. No duets, running around the trees and crassness. Yes, there is some crude attempt at generating humor that is really jarring in what is otherwise a perfect movie. However, those scenes do not stay in the mind. What gets firmly etched the viewer's mind is the mind blowing performance of Akkineni Nagarjuna (Respect!) as Saibaba. I admit I have always been critical of Nagarjuna's acting prowess. However, Sri Rama Dasu made me change my opinion slightly. And with this movie, he wins me over, many times. No one else could have done justice to this role. Take a bow to thee Nagarjuna. You have always been a trend setter, perhaps the only "star" in TFI to be so. His body language and the variations he brings in to depict the ageing of the Saint - I can sing praises all day. Equally praiseworthy is M M Keeravani the music director. His rerecording brings the most mundane scenes also to full of life. This movie has got to be one of this best performances if not the best. K Raghavendra Rao's direction is flawless. Yes, it was a bit old fashioned. But that actually lent character to the entire movie. You wouldn't want a 100% Love treatment to this movie. You have some expectations on how the canvass should be. KRR sticks to that canvass but manages to paint a Monalisa. The climax builds up emotions to a new high and moves even the most casual viewer. The last leg of the movie is the highlight of the movie. It really ends on a very high note. And no unnecessary scenes after the "end". Thanks KRR for that. It is very hard to pinpoint drawbacks in a movie like this. My only disappointment was that there was no scene with the Shirdi "aarti" chant! The end credits would have been the right place for the original Shirdi aarti chant. Keeravani's take is pretty good of course. Rating: Must see for Shirdi Sai believers. Must see for Nagarjuna fans. Must see for people who think Nagarjuna can't act. Must see for people who want a no-nonsense devotional movie. Sri Sacchidananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj ki Jai! Naaku nacchindi janaalaki nacchadu... Janaalaki nacchindi naaku nacchadu... Nenanthe.. adho type. |
