dude, wanting a particular gender kid is different from abandoning a kid because the kids gender is not what you wanted. its not like he decided against adopting, once he did not find the gender he initially preferred. i hope you see this difference. the reason he gave to me was that at a later stage, when he has to get the kid married, he wondered if the kid being adopted makes it difficult to find a partner. he thought if its a boy, there are lesser chances of going through this, though he wasnt really sure about it. One of my friends decided that he would adopt a kid. He stays in AP, and was approaching various organizations for adoptions. Initially, they wanted a boy child , and approached some orphanages.
