If u want to go on xbox live(XBL) on xbox 360 u need to pay by subscribing to xbox gold package on a monthly or annual basis.Whereas if you have PS3 you can connect to playstation network(PSN) for free and access netflix or youtube. If you want to connect to internet through xbox360 the only way is XBL,unfortunately Microsoft had made that kind of worst rules.From the Microsoft point of view they charge because they offer various kinds of services to gamers(by setting up servers). So the only option is to connect it through XBL!If you have PS3 you can connect it for free through PSN.
