it was a token protest against Hindu untouchability and I dont see a problem why it should be called a "conversion" .. Praying to Buddha and following his ideals are as much Indic as Hindu rituals are .. there is no point trying to separate them .. both operate on the tenets of Dharma .. but to call him anti-hindu for that is plain untruth!

Ambedkar is a great visionary. He only asked reservations for a period of 10 years. Thats understandable because the then backward people needed some support. BRA: asked for reservations for sc/st MLK: asked for equal rights along with whites. 1964 civil rights act - US govt provided equal opportunties irrespective of color, sex, etc..blacks settled this once for all... right now, we still see some sporadic issues here and there, but pretty much blacks are enjoying same privileges as whites.. why did BRA wrote reservations instead of equal rights..?? when will this end? why BRA didn't settle this once for all by asking equal rights? can anyone dare enough to touch the reservations? |
