i seriously want to do a study on why India fares badly at every olympics. without looking deep i feel there are 3 reasons 1) No school level events - there are probably thousands of gifted athletes around India who themselves dont know that they are exceptional. the schools simply arent well resourced and focused in athletic events 2) Tryouts are not well advertised - IOA is not active at ground level seeking and exploring talent as much as it should be 3) Politics - I can see the trial events filled with recommendation letters, references and may be even bribes i may be totally wrong your google is as good as mine | ||

Majority Indians ki, top priority money (TT included). Except cricket, other sports lo money ledhu. Why would nay other indian dedicate his/her life for those sports? Vaallaki basket weaving istam untay, they major college degree in basket weaving and search for the jobs in basket weaving...(no IT jobs) Look at American Allyson Felix. She won Silver medal 8 yrs ago in Olympics, She again won silver medal 4 yrs ago and last week, she won gold. Her aim in life? She wants to become an Elementary School teacher. When Rajyavardhan Singh Rathode became the first individual indian to win a silver medal at Olympics....no one sponsored his expenses for the next olympics. Why should any Indian try sports? | ||
