ledhu tammud...i am telling you....45 hours clock chesina kooda ..productivity is much less than that...in india they take breaks much more than we used to do in US. Even here i have my lunch/coffee at my desk....people go to cafeteria and chat...atleast 2 hours lunch/coffee breaks... I am just trying to explain the difference between delivering what is expected and to rated beyond and above. The place i work there is no force to work beyond regular hours.....how ever there are many initiatives savings,innovation etc where you can take up initiative and deliver....you deliver on your regular time or extra time is your choice. | ||

meerani kaadu lendi annai. its a general expectation from mgmnt for people to stay overtime, take no money and work like dogs to deliver on time. trust me. one doesn't need to spend additional hours to be more productive/innovative. it is more about reducing the efforts spend,there by saving time and increasing the quality of deliverable . so, a person working on it pretty much knows the loop holes of it and he needs to find a way to fix it. simple. i am sure you agree with me that resources will not be busy 45 hours of the week  raaboye kaalaniki kaaboye mod ni.. b careful with me  | ||

I do not mean work extra hours just for sake of it... they expect you to take up initiatives beyond your regular duties ...which will need extra hours. Regular work you are delivering what you are expected to do......if you deliver earlier and leave early....then it is still you delivered what is expected. | ||

50 hours a week is reasonable.. I go at around 11.00 am and then back by 8.00 pm. I need to attend few meetings so i stay upto 8.00 pm. I can go home and attend the calls if i want to....but i do not like to work from home. This makes 45 hours a week. But i do not expect to work > 45 hrs or keep track of my resources hours as long as they are delivering. Luckily my boss is the same. But if you want to be rated Beyond and Above expectations...i def expect beyond your regular duties. | ||

If R2I is that simple/easy and straight forward, we would see a lot of people go back and we see lot of these R2I threads with experiences. People who execute R2I will probably be less than 1% of the people who are here. But people who want to do R2I will be more than 90%. Ikkada middle class lifestyle kooda not bad, akkada middle class life ghoram. Comparable quality of life vundali ante konchem rich ayivundali. Rich ki definition enti ante it's based on one's requirement. Maa relatives lo upper middle class to rich to super rich (more than 100c) vunnaru. I go to India at least once a year and have seen both sides of the issue. Maa varaku I put us in upper middle class bracket both here and there. Naa close friend okadu after 15 years industry moved back couple of years ago. He planned very well from the beginning. He invested in real estate in overall AP and never put a single cent here. He has 3 small kids, recently bought a condo for 1.2C and works in an American telecom as a Sr.Manager. He earns about 2lakhs gross per month and he told me that he don't save any or very little. He also told me that there are people in his range who save at least 50k per month. Bottomline is you need at least a lakh per month after tax to have a comparable life style. | ||
