Rasputin:I dont think it is tax free unless it is in ornament form
even ornament form is taxable. Last time, I went to India, customs stopped me and asked us to pay tax on all ornaments. These ornaments are not even new. Luckily, we had all original boxes, so we told them that all were purchased in India and paid taxes when we bought them. Officer convinced a little and let us go. On the other hand, on the other side of the customs bench, there came a muslim family from Dubai with a lot of ornaments and they had to pay taxes on everything. |
