Have the UPA government and the Congress high command come to the conclusion that the Telangana sentiment is on the wane? The answer appears so, if one were to go by the statement of Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki. Participating in the round table conference on Telangana organized by Telangana Nagara Samithi headed by Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday, Yashki said the Centre might be feeling that there is no need to stir the hornetâs nest by taking a decision on the state bifurcation at present. âWe are not able say confidently whether Telangana will be a reality or not. But one thing is certain: we have to take up a strong movement to achieve our goal. But I am not sure whether the Telangana ministers would join the struggle,â Yashki said. Almost all the participants in the meeting felt that the Telangana would be a reality only if all sections of people, cutting across the party affiliations, wage a united battle. âIf we remain silent, the Telangana continued to face injustice, as has happened in the case of medical college seats in Osmania and Gandhi hospitals,â they felt.
