yes .. I did .. bcoz .. the rants in DB were more based on prejudice than facts .. and even now, I tell that some of those posts are not just reactions to the ugly incident but more of spewing venom against Sangh .. which does lot of good work .. but attracts rants due to small incidents like these due to their personal agenda/priorities (compare them with the good it does .. it certainly is small in my view) and I do agree today that yes .. some fools did take law into their hands .. which is wrong .. and action will have to be taken .. and I read that 20 people have been arrested .. and thats justified .. ika taliban etc etc pulihora .. picha lite .. Janata Dal leaders Amarnath Shetty and MG Hegde termed the attack as an intense struggle for supremacy between Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike. They said both these outfits are being supported by different political leaders. They said there was a time when Bajrang Dal carried out attacks on women, minorities and Dalits but now Hindu Jagaran Vedike has been let loose. Hegde alleted that the parties had asked the outfits to carry out such activities or else the latter would stop getting the backing they get. Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary said extra-constitutional authorities were ruling the state and these organisations were emboldened by the support they get from the state government and their MLAs, who owe their political survival to the Sangh parivar. Activists of AHINDA, an umbrella organisation of backward classes, Dalits and minorities, said the assault was an onslaught on the youthâs constitutional right to freedom. The convener of the organisation said the attack was the first sign of the disease that is hidden deep inside. He said he feared that the worst was yet to come as radical Hindu outfits were planning to hit out at every other section of the society. |
