Satti kaka...detour Nextar lo chaala quick..u might not even know that u have missed the route..ventane calcualte chesukuntadhi..and it will not even tell u that its recalculating ...antha fast gaa chesukuntadhi...chaala impressive feature idhi.. i have also seen Gamrmin Nuvi 650 and 350..but recalc take sometime until u miss the next exit..but idhi aala kadhu..with 2 seconds route marchukuntadhi.. | ||

Choosthe andharu Garmin ee konatunaaru..nenu koncham variety try chesthanu...I own a NEXTAR C3 with MP3 player..2d, 3d maps..night view...sd card extension..remote..touch screen..3'' screen.. one word lo chepalante..excellent..I have used this GPs in downtown of NY,Boston..apart from highways..intha varaku okka sari kuda tappu choopataledhu..great GPS...naaku deal lo $130 ki vachindhi...not costly but effective and quality kooda too good.. | ||

nenu aa majjana, i think around nov'07 lo costco vaadu dealing ettaadu garmin meeda.. I think it was on Nuvi 650 for 299. Lagettukuni velli konnaa.. Not at all satisfied, reasons: 1. Cover ivvaledu lafangee gaadu. 2. Battery charger dobbindi three days ki. Oka saari panchestadi, oka saari cheyyadu. So sirretti, just one month back return ichhina. Bestbuy lo poyyi I think i bought nuvi 300 for 200. chindial undi adi. Garmin is top.. any model you take.. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! | ||

Garmin Nuvi 650 nenu konnanu Costco lo for $299. Meeku vere country/continent features kavali ante you have to buy that card and load it. For example if you plan to head to Europe I think you can buy the European maps for about $80 or so and update your GPS with that one...the standard GPS come with US only..As everyone reiterated Text to Speech is a good option to have...there are other options like Blue Tooth, MP3 etc...I have some friends using Blue Tooth and they like it...i.e, while driving instead of their phone..they will use their GPS for receiving calls etc..MP3 feature is worthless..if you need more information ...let me know | ||

I have a garmin C340 model and works fine for the last 6 months...a couple of time s mostly during night it froze(lack of satellite reception though we were in a city)....it comes with preloaded maps of USA and also there is a cable to connect it to your laptop and download any updates....the user interface is simple unlike TOm Tom which was horrible ...always go for text to speech ...it is more comfortable...some GPS just give out information like take a right turn in 200 meters this will give you the street name which is a lot helpful...i am not sure which model is good in Garmin series | ||

I own Garmin Nuvi model. Its handy and goes in a pocket. But I have checked Sony, Tom-Tom, Mio and other junk GPS. Of all these... GARMIN is best. Its simple to use. All the GPS devices comes with MAPs and Points of Interests. Usually they are North American Maps. Key features to look for is, text to speech (TTS). With this feature your GPS will read out the names of the street also... rather than just saying 'make left' or 'make right'. I saw Garmin Nuvi 7 series on sale at COSTCO last week.
