First things first, RM's core area is directing & making a movie. He certainly ventured out into unknown grey area which is not his cup of tea. The first thing he missed out to learn from his Legendary Guru K.Raghavendra Rao, is to keep his mouth shut in all film related events & just to let his movies make the talking. RM, learn this from your Guru & if you have to unlearn a few things please be glad to do so & leave all promotional activities to the producer alone. I think you guys are who are pro RM missing the point. The out burst is not about RM's comments regarding green card alone. It is an outburst regarding the hiddent agenda and intentions of RM. His movies run well and collect more than any other director's movie even in overseas. So he is getting the highest revenues possible. Looks like he wants more. That is fine too... But he is not saying that he is doing all this fight for his own movie. He is saying he is fighting for a cause. That is fine too... But then the questions from NRI's are: How is he contributing to the cause? How is he going to fight piracy without understanding the core and important root causes for piracy. High ticket prices is one the most critical root causes of the piracy issue and he is not interested in fighting in the favor of audience. Why is he just concentrating on how to generate more revenues for the producers, actors, directors ETC... If is he is all for fighting for the TFI, then he can not ignore the common movie watching audience. His fight should start from making the common man's movie watching experience affordable and pleasant. Some of the key questions regarding his intentions and integrity: Why don't we see him talking about the same Piracy for all movies. Why cant he talk about any other TFI related issue? What does he know about piracy and does he understand the core elements and the root causes of the piracy? Why cant he sell his movies in reduced prices so that the benefit will flow all the way to the common movie goer? Why didn't he come out and talk about piracy on the first day of Eega release in the way he spoke recently? Why is he lying that he does not even know the ticket prices in overseas are very high. If he not lying and if he honestly does not know then he has to go study the piracy situation in all angles and understand the core elements first and them come out to talk. Why is he giving all of his press meets with half knowledge? If the anti piracy Law which is written by TFI in India applies to all Indians staying overseas then why can't the ticket price regulation by Indian govt applies to all Indian's in overseas? Why these half measures and choose the fight against only a specific cause which actually benefits the film makers and absolutely not the movies goers? NRI's are not dumb. The copy right laws in USA are more stricter then any other country in the world. most of the NRI's are more educated and highly qualified than RM. He does not have to explain the same which is written in the books of TFI's anti piracy cell. If he is all for fighting then fight in all angles not concentrating in one angle which only benefits them. If RM can answer these questions, then there wont be any out burst from the NRI's...I am pretty sure and I guarantee... Instead of just thinking that NRI's outburst is just about RM's comments about green cards, understand that the NRI's grief that RM's affords are selfish and not in the interest of a ordinary film goer and certainly not for the overseas audience. Another morality question from NRI's to RM is - You stop copying content from other western movies and music before preaching. show some self realization before educating others. | ||

RajaMouli, You are basically a Director with MIDAS Touch, Please stick to Making Movies only & do not involve in Post-Release activities of your or any movies. You are the best in TFI as of now & want you to see like that for ever. Another thing, You are in every media house giving an interview or in a talk show, do not get over exposed in media. Tell or show what you want to one media house at your convenince. Stop going to all media houses for publicity sake of your movie. You are in a position to dictate terms to media houses & movie production houses. Please do not over indulge/get over exposed & just concentrate on making movies which play to the galleries which is your USP. This backlash from USA crowd is just pure mud slinging on a honest, humble director. This tendency is normal to any star hero, but relatively new to directors, therefore take is a compliment & move on. Do not answer to every tom dick & harry who just passes comments on you. You are already there, No one can bring you down, unless your movies bomb, so just do what you are good at & do not care about all this bullshit. Last but not the least, When you are in USA, do not interact with any of these event organisers, visit any of your friends or places of interest that you might like, once you begin attending these events, they will again brand you, so stay away from it even before. |
