i have been in the same job for 4 years now(it will be 4 if i still have me by end of this month)
when i joined the sal was a bit high for my profile...and yearly increments have been very little...no complaints my counterparts make 10-15k more than me in similar role and domain
the business model was overwhelming for me for the first two years...still learning stuff every day even now
in the last year...i lost focus as i was planning to change jobs...now that idea is out of the pic
right now , i feel if i can focus enough to make myself a vital link ...i would always be in a better spot than jumping ship..learning new tech
there are other companies in the same business...who will pay very well for niche business knowledge
my baatamline is : if you are young in your career...makes sense to jump to new tech...learn the ropes and work your way through
if you are already in one domain...learn as much as you can...as the rate for growth business wise > tech wise (same old tools day in day out)

For the personality kind of urs if u have large loan u wont sleep till it is paid and u can do it in 2 years and u will have good investment too
Look for something around 2 crores minimum property dont worry if u r getting back any income on that as u will realise for that amount most of them do generate income.

It is because of my wife's beleif in American way of living and my belief in Indian way of living. Most of the time my wife ends up winning.
Also, I am older than many YOUNG people that are here in this DB. So went through lot of jobs/projects that many of DB members are currently going through to be in this stage. I beleive all of these people will do better than me when they are of my age.
I am always surprised to know at some members RE investments in India at the RIGHT time and the values of those investments currently.
I can never imagine making that kind of money in my life time! |

There is no need to lie. I gave the correct numbers, but I am US Citizen working in a protected environment (where security clearance is required and US CITIZENSHIP is a MUST) from sea of H1B's -. So rates are little bit worked in my favor. I am NOT sure I can make this kind of money in commercial world. I am NOT EVEN SURE that I can make it through interview -
It is also TRUE that I cann't afford to buy an independent house in HYD. The TRUE rich people are THOSE who have an acre or 2 in HYD surroundings or couple of homes or apartments in AP. |

Most of them money in SAP is in Implementation/redesign projects. Veetiki fake exp tho vellatam kastam. vellina manage cheyyatam almost impossible. oka 20 mem vunna room lo system ela design cheyyalo explain cheyyamantaadu. So at least oka 3-4 years vunte gaani aa command raadu.
And naaku SAP kuru vruddulu cheppindhi enti ante recession time lo SAP will be hit very hard. 2008-09 lo naaku pedda effect emi teliyala kaani, ppl tell 2000 was very bad for SAP.
So both sides of the coin If you've good network and good relations, you can definitely make more (double) compare to other technologies. Inka H1 vendors layers ayithe e tech ayina okate. |

client spending on consultant will not be equal to what they spend for a ft.
for eg: for a contract to hire employee ..during contract client will pay
$75/hr when same contractor is hired as ft then it would be around $60,
that way they are saving some money |

I am assuming that you are referring to functional side when you said "ye module". On technical side, it is more or less same across all modules except HR and also CRM & SRM.
For the functional people, CRM & SRM are good areas to get trained.

One more thing, in the begining the billing rate would be around $50's, but to reach $80 to $100 range, it will take 2 to 4 years and ofcourse you need to have STUFF to be recognized and LUCK. |

Generally by the time Desi companies put their people on projects, they will be 3rd or 4th layer in the chain and everyone keeps taking the cut.
Fortunately, we are direct with Accenture on few projects and we can extend that relation to other projects if there is an opportunity. |
