one other disgusting (for me) thing for me is a forum of "YSR's Legacy" at ATA. This was promoted well througout the convention with posters/announcements. Despite personal attachment or following, I dont know how ATA claiming itself to be non-political allows this for a guy accused as a cheater with proofs by the CBI, and undergoing investigation by the courts. I have come across a few guys who have flown all the way from Washington, VA, and Minneapolis to just attend this programme on YSR | ||

One thing that I noticed in ATA convention is that there is no mention of any activities done by ATA to promote telugu culture, or to support telugu ppl in need in USA outside of the conventions. Instead, they seems to be self indulgent in honoring ppl who donated huge amounts to the association which seems to just used for organizing the event, and for keeping the association alive. | ||

yes. I liked his speech. Till then I had a bad impression about these brothers because off Balreddy. But, Hanimireddy seems to be a decent man, and did not hesitate speaking his mind. When he was mentioning that these different associations formed only because of ego clashes among the 200 or so committee members, and because someone else want to be president, the ATA president went to his side in an attempt to stop him from speaking further. He got a tremendous applause from the crowd for his speech | ||
