In 1947 India was nothing...Politically a conglomeration of about 500 princely states...whcih later reducd to about 40-50...even after 1947 there were some princeley states which refused to be part of this IDEA called INDIA..... Imagine the amount of nation building that we went through....If today we have a safe banking system, if today we have a good education system ,we have a good legal system - credit should be given to the rulers (All MPs / MLAs - ruling and opposition)in the first 25-30 years of our history.
