$AAPL earnings predictions:

Revenue Estimate June 2012
Analysts' Average $37.38 Billion
High $41.73 Billion
Low $34.54 Billion
Apple Guidance $34.00 Billion

The recent strength in the dollar will weigh on revenues in the current quarter. The strong dollar dampens demand in foreign countries for US exports by making the products more costly in the local currency.

$AAPL 2nd quarter Earnings predictions:

Wedge Partners‘s Brian Blair today writes that Apple (AAPL) is "the best positioned company in the tech sector," but that there’s risk in the upcoming July 24th fiscal Q3 report ifiPhoneestimates don’t come down sufficiently before the report.

As Blair sees it, the reported 37 million units of iPhone sold in Q1, and the 35 million sold in Q2 will be hard to match, with sales last quarter probably having dropped to 28 to 30 million units.

The corn crop in the US is expected to fall dramatically this year, after a terrible heat wave and resulting dry spell hit during a key point in the growing season..

the cost of corn feed will go much higher, and it will force live stock producers to slaughter cattle earlier than they otherwise would have.

best way to play these...

"Live stock producers thought they were looking at $4 corn instead they’re looking at $7 corn. The cost of producing cattle has really gotten egregious. They’re going to have to liquidate herds. As a result, there will probably be a shortage of cattle next year," Gartman explains.

If you’re a retail investor and find cattle futures a little outside your wheelhouse, trader Josh Brown suggests looking at a long position in the COW [COW 28.66 0.1322 (+0.46%) ] ETN. Or he says, consider the CORN [CORN 45.33 -1.09 (-2.35%) ] ETN.
