You MAY get better mileage out of a manual if you know how to drive it that way (short shifting, etc). But my experience is that people with manual transmissions tend to wind it out longer than they have to and accelerate more aggressively before shifting into the next gear, so they wind up driving less efficiently than an automatic.Just human nature at work. A diamond with a flaw is better than a common stone that is perfect. | ||
